What  great weather we enjoyed last night, and numbers were very good again – although ‘only’ 66 this week.

The ground is even drying out so it wasn’t quite so heavy – and the odd barefoot runner emerged.

After the usual warm up we most capably handled the 8 x 60 sec efforts (60 sec recovery after each) – and I didn’t lose count this week ! After the warm down lots did our run thru’s to finish the session off – all in all a terrific session – well done !

It was terrific to have a couple more of you rejoin us after breaks of varying periods – Tan Nguyen & Alana Sheldon.

We welcomed another 3 more ‘new recruits’ this week ; Christian Sihvo, Janis Mueller & Cesar Albarran !. We trust you found the group very friendly and the run up to your expectations

Thanks again to the large number of you who were unable to attend last night for a range of reasons but thought to send me an apology.

Those of you  who have joined us for the first time in recent weeks & have not returned since are asked to send me advice of your intentions please.

I still have a limited supply of running diaries for any of you who might like to keep tabs on your training/progress. Just send me a note if you’d like one.

We’ll be in action again as usual next Tuesday evening, 30th August  2011

·         We’re still located at the Baseball field, & using the pavilion over there. Access by car is quite good & parking is very handy - enter from Ring Road East & go around to the Baseball field along the road  around the back (Wellington Rd end) of Oval 1.

·         And we are in action every Tuesday evening without fail throughout 2011

Hill Session at Jells Park - Saturday Morning next – 27th August 

Our  Hill session WILL go ahead again next Saturday morning (27 August) - at Jells Park.

I can’t be there on Saturday as I’m involved with a club event at Bendigo, together with a few of our Saturday morning regulars, but Chris Allan will be there to get you going. Meet at the usual  spot at 8.30am SHARP, out the front of the cafe – ‘Madeline’s’. Enter Jells Park from the entrance in Waverley Rd extension – opposite the Glen Waverley Golf Course.

Strength and Conditioning Seminar - Free Session – Wed 21 Sept – 7.00pm

It is free of charge and will be presented by Victorian Institute of Sport Strength and Conditioning Coach Michael Crooks on Wednesday 21 September, at 7pm.
