From Chris Culhane:

"This Saturday I competed at the Victorian State Champtionship for Surf Lifesaving at Ocean Grove.

I managed to win the Under 19s Two Kilometre Run and placed 4th in the opens division for the same race. The race was held on fairly soft sand and conditions were very stormy/windy. I was really pleased that all my training paid off and I was able to win the race and be able to back up for the Opens race ten minutes or so later. I also managed to place top ten in the open water surf swim. All that soft sand took a toll on my achilles and calves so I've planned a rest day today but looking forward to getting back into training for the Tuesday arvo session. Thanks to TV for all the coaching and advice and cheers to everyone for pushing me at trainings particularly."

Well done Chris!
