1. Name Mel Gray

2. Age: 30

3. A brief background: Originally from Mooroopna (NE Victoria) and came to Melbourne for uni. Studied Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Monash University from 2008-2010. Currently working in schools as a School Psychologist. I love riding my bike down beach road on the weekends. I play netball, squash and also like fitting in a swimming session once a week. I wanted to join RunMonash for years but netball training clashed. As soon as they moved training to Thursdays I came along and haven’t looked back since!   


4. How long have you been a RunMonash member? 
Coming up 2 years

5. Favourite run session?
All of them except the lake circuit! 

6. Favourite place to run?
anywhere new. I love varying my run courses.  

7. Favourite song/music to run to? (or sounds of nature)
Usually just the radio (JJJ), but recently I have downloaded the “rebel beats” app onto my phone and this helped me run really fast the other day! 

8. Favourite food? Homemade pizza

9. What motivates you to continue running?
Both the physical and psychological benefits of running and I want to be able to keep pace with friends at RunMonash. Having Trevor’s voice in my head telling me “bad weather is no excuse” also helps.

10. What is your running goal for 2014?
If I write it here I will have to do it ….…. PB at the Gold Coast marathon 10k event in July. 

11. Any general comments about your involvement in RunMonash: A big thanks to TV for all the work he puts into RunMonash!
